Everything you need to know about installing, configuring, and using Workflow3D products.

Text to PBR: Installation

Text to PBR runs natively inside Blender. It requires Blender 3.5 or higher.

Step-by-step Guide

  1. From your Dodo Payments email receipt, click "Access in your Customer Portal →" to access your download button, and download the .zip file.
  2. Open Blender and navigate to Edit > Preferences.
  3. Select the Add-ons tab on the left.
  4. Click the Install... button at the top right.
  5. Locate the downloaded .zip file and click Install Add-on.
  6. Check the box next to "Workflow3D: Text to PBR" to enable it.
Note: Do not unzip the file before installing. Blender requires the zipped archive to install add-ons correctly.

Activating your License

Once enabled, expand the add-on preferences panel (click the small arrow next to the checkbox). Paste your License Key into the designated field and hit Enter.

Text to PBR: Troubleshooting

"Invalid License Key" Error

Ensure there are no leading or trailing spaces when you paste the key. If you purchased via Gumroad, your license key is included in your email receipt. If the issue persists, your internet connection might be blocking the verification servers.

Generation Failed or Timed Out

This typically occurs due to network instability or Cloudflare rate-limiting. Try the following:

  • Wait 1-2 minutes and try your prompt again.
  • Ensure your prompt doesn't trigger automated safety filters.
  • Check if your firewall or antivirus is blocking outbound requests from Blender.

Textures appear black/missing

Ensure your viewport shading is set to Material Preview or Rendered. Solid view will not display PBR maps.

Kimodo Bridge: Installation

Kimodo Bridge acts as a local server layer between Blender and your external workflows.

  1. From your Dodo Payments email receipt, click "Access in your Customer Portal →" to access your download button, and download the .zip file.
  2. Install the add-on via Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install just like a standard add-on.
  3. Enable the add-on and open the Kimodo Bridge panel in the 3D Viewport (N-Panel).
  4. Click Start Bridge Server. The status indicator should turn green.

Kimodo Bridge: Troubleshooting

Bridge Server Fails to Start

If the server refuses to start or instantly stops, another application might be using the required local port. You can change the default port in the Add-on Preferences.

Default Port: 8080 (Change to 8081 or 8082 if occupied)

Node Syncing Issues

If node trees are failing to sync across applications, ensure that the API Key in your external application matches the one generated by Kimodo Bridge in Blender. They must be identical for the handshake to succeed.

General FAQ & Billing

Where do I find my License Key / Token?

Your access token is automatically emailed to you immediately after purchase. You can also access your downloads at any time by clicking "Access in your Customer Portal →" from your Dodo Payments receipt.

Do I need a subscription?

No. Workflow3D tools are designed without subscriptions. You purchase the add-on outright, and if you use cloud-generation features, you simply purchase one-off credit packs as needed.

How do credits work?

Credits are only consumed when you use cloud-based AI generation features (like Text to PBR). You can view your remaining credit balance directly inside the Blender Add-on panel. When you run low, you can purchase top-ups securely.
